Aim:  

To provide theoretical and practical well control training for personnel who already have a sound understanding of well control practices, procedures and equipment on floating drilling units. At the conclusion of the programme the candidate will have achieved an awareness of the causes of kicks, kick recognition, the procedures to follow to minimise the possibility of a well control incident, different methods of well control, a sound understanding of the theoretical and practical aspect of well control. The candidate will also understand the advantages of good communication, well planning and organisation, basic management skills and special well control situations.

Drillers, Assistant Toolpushers, Toolpushers, Drilling Supervisors and Drilling Engineer level personnel.
